MLB scheduled an off-day for their All-Stars s to rejoin their respective teams before resuming the schedule.

Riding a four-game winning streak prior the All-Star break, the Phillies looked forward to a six-game home stand atop the National League. The Phils 47-28 record put them in first place – 1½ games ahead of the Giants.
