Why I Play FanDuel

I play FanDuel because – as you can see above and below – tonight I have an opportunity to win $15,000 – or more. And as you can also see – at this point in the action – I’m winning $15,135 while risking just $33.

I played 18 contests for that $33 investment:

  • 12 NBA contests for $2 each – six tournaments and six 100-player leagues.
  • 6 NHL contests – three tournaments for $2 each and three 100-player leagues for a buck each.

Add it up and it comes to $33.

The blockbuster in the mix is being in first place$15,000 first prize – in a $150K NBA Tournament with 86,705 contestants. To stay in first place, I have to build a big lead because I don’t have any players in the 10:30 game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Portland Trailblazers.

So my chances of cashing the full $15,000 are the proverbial slim and none.

But I’ve got Rajon Rondo and James Harden. If they really kick ass, I’ve got a shot to finish well.

Here’s my lineup:

As I’m writing this, I have no idea how the night’s going to end. That Nets-Blazers game is just tipping off. But I guarantee you this – I won’t be dozing off before the game ends. I could wind up with a fistful of cash – or I could bottom out, finish out of money, and even lose all $33.

Tomorrow, I’ll let you know how it turned out.
