The Phillies had an off-day to travel to Chicago.
The Rolling Stones released the band’s first album – “The Rolling Stones” – which sold more than 12,000,000 copies in the U.K. An alternate version – “England’s Newest Hit Makers” – was released in the U.S. and signaled the beginning of the “British Invasion” in American pop culture.
1964 – The Year the Phillies Blew the Pennant was originally published two years ago – but please don’t purchase it right now. I’m in the final stages of streamlining the original to make it a better reading experience.
I’ll let you know when it’s ready.
