Become a Millionaire By Blogging

A few days ago our own Sam Charles suggested that I could make good money by blogging. He sent me a link to Scott Chow’s “Blog Starter.” Then I did some additional research, and Sam may be right.

The chart below spells it out.

I already have two blogs. Right now I’m part of the 10% who make $0 by blogging. Never tried because I’m not a tech-genius. But 13% of bloggers are making from $1,000 a month to over $10,000 a month. So there is gold in them thar hills.

Don’t see any reason why a balls-to-the-wall guy can’t plant himself somewhere within that 13%. Yes, I’m referring to myself as myself a balls-to-the-wall guy. As Rocky Balboa said, “Go for it.”

Which is quite a turnaround because I never gave a shit about money. And now, here I go, deciding to chase after the pot of gold.

Go For It

Day 1 – Did some research and made the decision to go for it.

Day 2 – Learned all about SERPS and meta data. Very important “stuff” for search engines. This info was straight forward and easy to implement.

Day 3 – Chased my tail for a couple hours. Then banged my head against the wall for a few more hours. Trying to decide on GetResponse or ConstantContact as my email marketing provider.

Spent more than an hour chatting with GetResponse Support, but not resolving any issues

ConstantContact advertised a “free trial.” So I signed up. But got blocked when I tried to create my first form. Seems you hafta pony up to actually use their service.

So I pointed out that their free trial was actually a bait-and-switch come-on. And old them to stick it.

Day 4 – Pleasant surprise. A ConstantContact rep phoned me and kissed my ass with apologies. He offered all sorts of help. In fact, I’ll be taking part in learning-session meetings all next week.

Also spent a few hours hooking up Google’s AdSense. That’s the snooping mechanism that makes “stuff” pop up when you’re online, or on your phone or ipad. That’s also what generates income for your blogs.

Day 5 – That’s today. I’ll be dealing with some of the things that fell thru the cracks. Plus writing another blog – this one right here, in fact. Plus working on three writing projects that are in-progress. Plus taxiing a few folks around.

This morning – Dropped a gal off at the Amazon facility in West Deptford, NJ, and took another half-dozen people to work in Delco. Might go back out for a couple hours tonight.
