The hapless Buffalo Bills – no Super Bowl wins – took a 36-33 lead with 49 seconds remaining. But they let the Kansas City Chiefs tie the game with a last-play field goal, and lost the game 42-36 in Overtime.

Bills Knocked Out of Playoffs … Again

Took off Monday and modified my schedule today, Tuesday – to accommodate a custom back door installation – custom because they don’t make doors that size anymore – not because I engage in anything ostentatious.

Worked last Saturday morning – already posted in Where Have All the Jersey Tomatoes Gone? – but decided to go back out Saturday evening to nail 2 birds with one stone.

Lyft’s offering a bonus for 3 rides from 5 – 6 p.m. – plus I need 5 rides to snag Level 1 of a weekly bonus.

First 3 rides come fast – 3rd takes me up to Kensington – then a ride back to the airport – and one back to Collingdale – nice – nail both bonuses in less than 3 hours.

Decide to work Sunday night because Lyft’s offering bonuses from 8 – 9 p.m. and 11 – 12 – plus I need 11 rides to hit Level 2 of the weekly bonus.

First ride comes quick – short ride into Chester – but then comes a curious ride.

Second pickup takes me to one of the nastiest sections of Chester – young guy, 20s, black male – going to New Castle, DEL.

Nice guy – nice conversation – destination is a condo complex – but he’s never been there before – so I wonder – seems pretty far for a drug deal – is he handsome enough to be a stud-whore? – or is this some sort of online date? – but I’ll never know.

Tough getting rides back toward Philly – don’t get one till I reach Trainer – young white female going home to Brookhaven – my first day with the new iPhone and it’s giving me trouble – so she gives me a lesson in navigating around the phone.

Catch a buncha rides and wind up in Kensington – then pick up a Bills fan in Fishtown – from Orchard Park – home of the Bills – he’s pissed about the loss – going to Manyunk – nice ride – lotta football chatter.

Mac and Cheese

Pick up an Indian dude at a bar on Main Street in Manayunk – went there just to get mac and cheese – I like mac and cheese but never crazy enough about it to take Lyft to and from a bar to get it.

He’s from Mumbai – gives me history and background – says it’s easy living – most people are vegans – eat fatty foods – not much physical activity – results in a lotta fat people – his words, not mine.

Drop him at 63rdand City Line – then pick up a girl going to Florence Avenue in Sharon Hill – could walk home from there.

Snag all 3 bonuses but don’t get home till 1 a.m. – a beer, some cookies, and some computer time take me till 2 o’clock – which is why I bagged Monday . Get up regular time this morning – 4:14 – feed the cats – now waiting for carpenter – goodie gumdrops – he just texted me – on the way here – and now they’re sawing and hammering.
