It puts the lotion on it’s skin, or else it gets the hose again.
Brooke Smith
Yesterday – I mentioned Brooke Smith appearing in the second episode of Ray Donovan.
As I’m looking at her – she looks somewhat familiar.
She plays a nurse who gets into the action by taking care of Terry Donovan when he strains a shoulder sparring. She’s massaging his right shoulder – he’s shirtless. She notices the name Bernadette tattooed on his left pec and starts questioning him.
“Is that your wife? Are you two still together?”
Terry tells her that she passed away a long time ago.
She gives him a shot of something in the back of his shoulder and says, “Great guns there.”
He thanks her – and there’s definite sexual tension between them.
So I check her out.
Born in New York in 1967, she was 46 when this episode was shot. She and Terry become an item and she appeared in 13 episodes.
She has 75 acting credits – and Eureka – there it is – her fourth credit – back in 1991 – she played Catherine Martin in Silence of the Lambs.
She’s the chunky girl that Jame Gumb – aka Buffalo Bill – gets to help him load a sofa into the back of his van – then kidnaps her & imprisons her.
She’s the girl down in the pit – he gives her a bottle of skin lotion and delivers the classic line – “It puts the lotion on its skin – or else it gets the hose again.”

Warner Books published Born to Be Wild in 1992 & it still sells every day at Amazon & Kindle. True story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.
The story takes 21 years to play out – with many twists & turns – an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy & Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
