Just Observing
I tuned into Better Call Saul last night ─ Season 4, Episode 4. It’s my favorite TV Crime Series. I was watching for enjoyment, but Rhea Seehorn gave me an idea for my next post. But as it turned out, I liked this scene so much ─ which I call “Just Observing” ─ that I decided to use it today and use the other one tomorrow.
Rhea Seehorn plays attorney Kim Wexler and she’s going through some mental trepidations.
In addition to the trials and tribulations that Jimmy constantly heaps onto her shoulders, she’s suddenly questioning the type of lawyer she wants to be long term.
She now seems more concerned about helping people than she is about making money.
So she drops into a courtroom “Just Observing.”
The judge sees her in the audience, recognizes her, and sends his bailiff to tell her to meet him in his quarters during the next recess. If you watch the video below, about halfway through you’ll see Rhea do one outstanding piece of acting without saying a word.
And you might even figure out my next post.
I’m America’s Best Crime Writer – Barry Bowe – & I approve this message.
The story took 21 years to play out with many twists & turns. It’s an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
