The Big Easy

The Big Easy

The Big Easy is a 1986 crime drama starring Dennis Quaid, Ellen Barkin, and Ned Beatty.

The movie’s set in Cajun country and Dennis Quaid plays a lovable but corrupt homicide detective with the New Orleans Police Department.

Ellen Barkin is an outsider who comes into the Big Easy to investigate the corruption that’s running rampant throughout the entire police department.

She’s a straight arrow prosecutor who locks horns with Quaid in more ways than one.

Meanwhile there’s a string of mysterious murders that need to be solved.

I saw this move when it came out and remember liking it, but I forgot most of the story. I liked it well enough last night to stay awake.

I’m America’s Best Crime Writer – Barry Bowe – & I approve this message.

My first book – Born to Be Wild – was published in 1992 and is still selling on Amazon & Kindle. it’s a true story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.

The story took 21 years to play out with many twists & turns. It’s an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
