Donnie Jones Goes Out on Top

Donnie Jones just announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons. Drafted in the seventh-round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2004, he played in 214 regular-season games.

He played his final 80 games with the Philadelphia Eagles and retires as the team’s leader in gross punting average (45.37) and net average (40.5).

He holds the record for most career punts inside the 20-yard line (138) and most single-season punts inside the 20 (34 in 2014). Plus the best net average in a season (41.6 in 2015).

During his career, he punted 1,110 for a 45.5-yard average.

He decided to end his career on top – thanks to being a member of the 2018 Super Bowl champion Eagles.

And don’t forget how instrumental he was as the holder on placekicks.
